What a wonderful place to stay. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Jaipur this is it. The room we stayed in was beautiful. The meals we had were of a very high quality and best of all the staff. They always greeted us with a smile and were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. I will be returning to Jaipur and this is where I will stay. Finally Mrs Singh the owner who greeted us personally on our arrival is a lovely lady and was extremely helpful to us.
I have stayed at the hotel Meghniwas two times, both being delightful experiences. The lovely family run hotel is clean, comfortable and spacious. Nothing is too much trouble for the very kind owner Mrs Singh who goes out of her way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The food is delicious and very reasonable. The beautiful gardening pool setting is the perfect way to start and finish your day . To top off the experience they have two lovely dogs on the property who greet you with wagging tails when you arrive back at the end of each day. I visit Jaipur every year for work and this makes it all the more enjoyable.
I found Hotel Meghniwas online by its positive reviews and was very happy I did. I didn't listen to Mrs. Singh and tried to walk home from Albert Hall. I gave up near the train station and took tooked it "home" to Hotel Meghniwas. With happiness bubbling up as I walked down the driveway, the stresses of my day fell away. A shower, a pleasant cocktail hour comparing notes with other travelers, dinner and a good sleep all refreshed and made me ready for another day of sightseeing. If I ever travel to Jaipur again and the Singhs were there, I would definitely stay again.
A traditional family run hotel with friendly and attentive staff and wonderful food. I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was convenient with beautiful gardens and a lovely area to sit by the pool.
I cannot say how much I enjoyed my stay at the Megh Niwas hotel. I was part of a group of ladies on a brilliantly organised block printing tour. We were all looked after extremely well by the staff and were made to feel at home and part of the family. We were even allowed into the kitchens for an Indian cookery demonstration. As it was my first trip to India I was a bit apprehensive about getting about Jaipur without the group but We were very well looked after by Ramish the yuk yuk driver. Can't wait to go back.
I stayed in this oasis of peace for 2 nights. This family ran hotel is not far away from the railway station, and some 20 min tuktuk ride from the bazaars and the access to the city attractions. The property is nicely maintained and very clean. I got a room with a garden view, so it was really quiet and in a way - idyllic. The room itself was basic but had it all was comfortable and nicely decorated. The garden is maintained with care, has a small swimming pool which I guess comes handy during warm Jaipur days/evenings. Having a relaxing drink in this gorgeous garden after a day on the streets was a treat. The food was not much in variety but prepared with lots of care, and was really tasty. Breakfast as well. All staff were really friendly and helpful. One can really tell there's much love and attention put into this place by the hotel manager/owner Mrs Singh and her family. Overall, I could see why people like coming back to this place. I think I would too, next time I'm in Jaipur.
We loved our stay at Meghniwas. The old world charm of the place and relaxed atmosphere combined with friendly service and delicious food (mostly sourced from their own farm) and made for a very memorable stay. The hotel is well located to take in all that Jaipur has to offer.
I was recommended by a friend to visit Meghniwas on my first visit to Jaipur and I must say that it was a very good experience. The pool, the rooms and the food are really good. The hotel is centrally located so very close to all the sightseeing and shopping destinations you plan for your trip to Jaipur. It is also a very quiet and a special mention for the owners who make your stay extremely warm and comfortable. The staff and the young guys who help around the hotel are also courteous. In a nutshell, we had a great experience, safe, warm and beautiful. The best time was having breakfast near the pool in the morning...they make delicious omlettes and the methi roti and yellow dal remind you of your home. Lovely and wonderful ...
The location of Meghnivas is right in the middle of the city which makes it absolutely easy to travel from there and it is an added bonus that the Nivas is even more beautiful. The food reminds one of their homes and it is suitable to all palates. Rooms are also really good. Benji, the resident dog is also an in house attraction who steals all the tourists' hearts. This is coming from a non-dog person, so rest-assured, he is a very friendly dog. The owners are really friendly and attentive to all the guests and make it a stellar place to stay at. Really enjoyed my stay here!
This small hotel is a delight and very quiet especially for being off a major road in Jaipur. The food is excellent and much is fresh from the owners' farm. The service is attentive and the owners were charming. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there if returning to Jaipur. I recommend room 108 which faces the pool and is spacious and beautiful. The pool is also very nice.
This place is amazing, an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of India. More of a boutique hotel, the rooms are generous and very nicely styled. It feels a very personal place to stay and the owner is a lovely and helpful lady, the staff always cheerful and attentive. It is about a 10 min auto rickshaw ride from the old city, about 100-150 rupees and there is always one out front. The restaurant serves good simple home style Indian food, the breakfast is also excellent with great fruit, cereals and toast. The best place we stayed in India!
The landlady is very involved with the wellbeing of her guests and manages the place excellently. The quiet garden in the middle is a fine spot to relax or meet-up with others or take a dip into the pool. Rooms are immaculately clean. The super deluxe room, to which we were upgraded at no additional cost, is beautiful and spacious. The bathroom is like a dance hall. The only slight downside in wintertime is the small capacity of the shower's boiler: one minute only of hot water is brief.
Lovely, good value hotel. Large, comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent breakfast. Proprietress is lovely, knowledgeable and helpful lady. Car organised for day trips and onwards journey was well driven by driver who couldn't do enough for us.
Meghniwas is a very pleasant homestay/hotel run by a family with wonderful and friendly staff. Sit around the pool and leave the hyper activity of Jaipur at the gate. Great place to come back to after an busy day touring the city.
The hotel is very well located. We walked into tropical oasis with large swimming pool and very well maintained garden. We have stayed in deluxe rooms facing pool, with balcony. I would suggest to anyone who is looking to stay in this hotel to pay a little bit extra for this room. It's huge!with massive bed. We have stayed in 5* hotel in Delhi and pay small fortune for two nights and this was terrible. We have stayed in various hotels in india but this hotel was the best. Overall: clean, big room, great pool, good breakfast, friendly owners and doggy))) excellent value for many.Highly recommended!
